Born on 15th March, 1954 in Udayagiri, Kendrapara, Gagan Bihari Parida showed an early interest in art and creativity. He pursued his passion by studying at the Diploma from School of Chitram, Bhubaneswar (1972-1977) & School of Kalakendra, Bhubaneswar, and later going on to complete his Bachelor's degree from Bivuti Kanungo College of Art & Crafts, Cuttack. It was during his time at these prestigious institutions that Gagan honed his skills as a sculptor, painter, and designer.
